Caffeine calculator
Your pre-workout plus the rest of the day's caffeine, against the 400 mg a day the FDA cites for most adults, and the 3–6 mg per kg of bodyweight that caffeine studies use. Everything is worked out in your browser: what you enter isn't sent or stored.
How it adds up
Enter the caffeine per scoop from your tub's label. Coffee and energy drinks vary a lot, so the calculator uses the FDA's published ranges for a 12 fl oz serving (brewed coffee 113–247 mg, energy drinks 41–246 mg) and shows your total as a range. If you know the exact figure from a can, put it under “other caffeine”.
The per-kg figure counts the scoops only, because that's what the 3–6 mg/kg in caffeine studies refers to: a dose taken before exercise.
These are reference figures for most adults, not personal advice. If you're pregnant, under 18 or have a heart condition, talk to a doctor before using stimulants.
