How we make money

The checker is free and has no sign-up. Some links to shops are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the shop may pay us a commission. You pay the same price.

What commission can't change

  • Verdicts. They're arithmetic: the amount on the label against a cited research dose. The same rules apply to every product.
  • Rankings. Lists and “better-dosed alternatives” are ordered by dose score (how many key ingredients reach the research dose), then by name. The ranking code never reads whether a product has an affiliate link.
  • What we check. Products are chosen because people buy them, not because they pay.

How you can tell

Affiliate links are labelled as such where they appear, and they're marked for search engines as sponsored. If a product has no affiliate link, we still check it and still rank it.

What we don't do

No sponsored reviews, no paid placements, no ads that pretend to be results. Brands can't pay to change a verdict. If a brand thinks a label is wrong, it can send us the current label like anyone else, and a change goes in the corrections log.
